Vansda is a town and the headquarters of Vansda town in Navsari district of Gujarat state in western part of India. The name Vansada was derived from the surrounding dense bamboo forests. The town of Vansada on the banks of the river Kaveri was founded by the king. Vansda was a princely state before independence.
Vansda is connected by Waghai, Chikhli, Saputara, Nashik, Vapi, Dharampur, Shamlaji, State Highways. The nearest railway station is Unai, although only narrow gauge trains pass through the station. The nearest railway station for broad gauge trains is Bilimora General.

Jaykishan, the most successful Hindi film composer duo Shankar Jaykishan was born and brought up here.
Bansada was once the capital of the princely state of Bansada until 1949. There is a tower in Vansada which shows the royal heritage of Vansada, there is a mosque near the tower and Nadir-Shah Pir Dargah in Champawadi, which is visited by many Hindu and Muslim devotees.
Vansda National Park, also known as Bansda National Park, is a protected area representing the dense forests of Dang and South Gujarat and is located in Vansda Taluka, Navsari District, Gujarat State. Riding on the banks of the Ambika river and covering an area of about 24 km2, the park is 65 km east of Chikhli town on National Highway 8 and about 80 km from Valsad town. It is situated in the north-east. Vansda, from which the town park derives its name, is an important place for the surrounding area where the majority of the population is represented by tribals. As the Vansada-Vaghai State Highway runs through the park, a narrow gauge rail link connects Vaghai with Bilimora.

Unai
According to local belief, Unai is the place where Sitaji wanted to take bath but there was no water. Shri Ram shot an arrow on the ground and a stream of water started flowing, the ground was very hot. He called Sitaji and said, 'I am not there.' This place later came to be known as Unai. Unai and the entire surrounding area have many places associated with Ramayana, Subir (Shabari), Shabari associated with Dang (Dandakaaran) and according to local belief, it is also the place where Hanumanji was born.

ऊनाई
स्थानीय मान्यता के अनुसार, उनाई वह स्थान है जहां सीताजी स्नान करना चाहती थीं लेकिन पानी नहीं था। श्री राम ने जमीन पर तीर चलाया और पानी की धारा बहने लगी, जमीन बहुत गर्म थी। उन्होंने सीताजी को बुलाकर कहा, 'हूं नहीं'। यह स्थान बाद में उनाई के नाम से जाना गया। उनाई और आसपास के पूरे क्षेत्र में रामायण से जुड़े कई स्थान हैं, डांग (दंडकराना), शबरी से जुड़े सुबीर (शबरी) और स्थानीय मान्यता के अनुसार, यह वह स्थान भी है जहां हनुमानजी का जन्म हुआ था।
